  21. navigation and redirection page after logout. Useful if you use a different app
  22. to serve your homepage.
  23. ``OSCAR_PARTNER_WRAPPERS``
  24. --------------------------
  25. Default: ``{}``
  26. This is an important setting which defines availability for each fulfillment
  27. partner. The setting should be a dict from parter name to a path to a "wrapper"
  28. class. For example::
  29. OSCAR_PARTNER_WRAPPERS = {
  30. 'Acme': 'myproject.partners.AcmeWrapper',
  31. 'Omnicorp': 'myproject.partners.OmnicorpWrapper',
  32. }
  33. The wrapper class should subclass ``oscar.apps.partner.wrappers.DefaultWrapper``
  34. and override the appropriate methods to control availability behaviour.
  35. .. warning::
  36. This settings has been deprecated for Oscar 0.6. Use :ref:`strategy classes <strategy_class>`
  37. instead to provide availability and pricing information.
  38. ``OSCAR_RECENTLY_VIEWED_PRODUCTS``
  39. ----------------------------------
  40. Default: 20
  41. The number of recently viewed products to store.

  50. ``OSCAR_PRODUCTS_PER_PAGE``
  51. ---------------------------
  52. Default: 20
  53. The number of products to paginate by.
  54. .. _oscar_search_facets:
  55. ``OSCAR_SEARCH_FACETS``
  56. -----------------------
  57. A dictionary that specifies the facets to use with the search backend. It
  58. needs to be a dict with keys ``fields`` and ``queries`` for field- and
  59. query-type facets. The default is::
  60. OSCAR_SEARCH_FACETS = {
  61. 'fields': {
  62. # The key for these dicts will be used when passing facet data
  63. # to the template. Same for the 'queries' dict below.
  64. 'category': {
  65. 'name': _('Category'),
  66. 'field': 'category'
  67. }
  68. },
  69. 'queries': {
  70. 'price_range': {
  71. 'name': _('Price range'),
  72. 'field': 'price',
  73. 'queries': [
  74. # This is a list of (name, query) tuples where the name will
  75. # be displayed on the front-end.
  76. (_('0 to 40'), '[0 TO 20]'),
  77. (_('20 to 40'), '[20 TO 40]'),
  78. (_('40 to 60'), '[40 TO 60]'),
  79. (_('60+'), '[60 TO *]'),
  80. ]
  81. }
  82. }
  83. }
  84. ``OSCAR_PROMOTION_POSITIONS``
  85. -----------------------------
  86. Default::
  87. OSCAR_PROMOTION_POSITIONS = (('page', 'Page'),
  88. ('right', 'Right-hand sidebar'),
  89. ('left', 'Left-hand sidebar'))
  90. The choice of display locations available when editing a promotion. Only
  91. useful when using a new set of templates.
  92. ``OSCAR_PROMOTION_MERCHANDISING_BLOCK_TYPES``
  93. ---------------------------------------------
  94. Default::
  95. COUNTDOWN, LIST, SINGLE_PRODUCT, TABBED_BLOCK = (
  96. 'Countdown', 'List', 'SingleProduct', 'TabbedBlock')
  97. OSCAR_PROMOTION_MERCHANDISING_BLOCK_TYPES = (
  98. (COUNTDOWN, "Vertical list"),
  99. (LIST, "Horizontal list"),
  100. (TABBED_BLOCK, "Tabbed block"),
  101. (SINGLE_PRODUCT, "Single product"),
  102. )
  103. Defines the available promotion block types that can be used in Oscar.
  104. .. _OSCAR_DASHBOARD_NAVIGATION:
  105. ``OSCAR_DASHBOARD_NAVIGATION``
  106. ------------------------------
  107. Default: see ``oscar.defaults`` (too long to include here).
  108. A list of dashboard navigation elements. Usage is explained in
  109. :doc:`/howto/how_to_configure_the_dashboard_navigation`.
  110. ``OSCAR_DASHBOARD_DEFAULT_ACCESS_FUNCTION``
  111. -------------------------------------------
  112. Default: ``'oscar.apps.dashboard.nav.default_access_fn'``
  113. ``OSCAR_DASHBOARD_NAVIGATION`` allows passing an access function for each node
  114. which is used to determine whether to show the node for a specific user or not.
  115. If no access function is defined, the function specified here is used.
  116. The default function integrates with the permission-based dashboard and shows
  117. the node if the user will be able to access it. That should be sufficient for
  118. most cases.
  119. Order settings
  120. ==============
  121. ``OSCAR_INITIAL_ORDER_STATUS``
  122. ------------------------------
  123. The initial status used when a new order is submitted. This has to be a status
  124. that is defined in the ``OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_PIPELINE``.
  125. ``OSCAR_INITIAL_LINE_STATUS``
  126. -----------------------------
  127. The status assigned to a line item when it is created as part of an new order. It
  128. has to be a status defined in ``OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_PIPELINE``.
  129. ``OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_PIPELINE``
  130. -------------------------------
  131. Default: ``{}``
  132. The pipeline defines the statuses that an order or line item can have and what
  133. transitions are allowed in any given status. The pipeline is defined as a
  134. dictionary where the keys are the available statuses. Allowed transitions are
  135. defined as iterable values for the corresponding status.
  136. A sample pipeline (as used in the Oscar sandbox) might look like this::
  137. OSCAR_INITIAL_ORDER_STATUS = 'Pending'
  138. OSCAR_INITIAL_LINE_STATUS = 'Pending'
  139. OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_PIPELINE = {
  140. 'Pending': ('Being processed', 'Cancelled',),
  141. 'Being processed': ('Processed', 'Cancelled',),
  142. 'Cancelled': (),
  143. }
  144. ``OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_CASCADE``
  145. ------------------------------
  146. This defines a mapping of status changes for order lines which 'cascade' down
  147. from an order status change.
  148. For example::
  149. OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_CASCADE = {
  150. 'Being processed': 'In progress'
  151. }
  152. With this mapping, when an order has it's status set to 'Being processed', all
  153. lines within it have their status set to 'In progress'. In a sense, the status
  154. change cascades down to the related objects.
  155. Note that this cascade ignores restrictions from the
  156. ``OSCAR_LINE_STATUS_PIPELINE``.
  157. ``OSCAR_LINE_STATUS_PIPELINE``
  158. ------------------------------
  159. Default: ``{}``
  160. Same as ``OSCAR_ORDER_STATUS_PIPELINE`` but for lines.
  161. Checkout settings
  162. =================
  163. ``OSCAR_ALLOW_ANON_CHECKOUT``
  164. -----------------------------
  165. Default: ``False``
  166. Specifies if an anonymous user can buy products without creating an account
  167. first. If set to ``False`` users are required to authenticate before they can
  168. checkout (using Oscar's default checkout views).
  169. ``OSCAR_REQUIRED_ADDRESS_FIELDS``
  170. ---------------------------------
  171. Default: ``('first_name', 'last_name', 'line1', 'city', 'postcode', 'country')``
  172. List of form fields that a user has to fill out to validate an address field.
  173. Review settings
  174. ===============
  175. ``OSCAR_ALLOW_ANON_REVIEWS``
  176. ----------------------------
  177. Default: ``True``

  179. a product without registering first. If it is set to ``True`` anonymous
  180. users can create product reviews.
  181. ``OSCAR_MODERATE_REVIEWS``
  182. --------------------------
  183. Default: ``False``
  184. This defines whether reviews have to be moderated before they are publicly
  185. available. If set to ``False`` a review created by a customer is immediately
  186. visible on the product page.
  187. Communication settings
  188. ======================
  189. ``OSCAR_EAGER_ALERTS``
  190. ----------------------
  191. Default: ``True``
  192. This enables sending alert notifications/emails instantly when products get
  193. back in stock by listening to stock record update signals this might impact
  194. performance for large numbers stock record updates.
  195. Alternatively, the management command ``oscar_send_alerts`` can be used to
  196. run periodically, e.g. as a cronjob. In this case instant alerts should be
  197. disabled.
  198. ``OSCAR_SEND_REGISTRATION_EMAIL``
  199. ---------------------------------
  200. Default: ``True``
  201. Sending out *welcome* messages to a user after they have registered on the
  202. site can be enabled or disabled using this setting. Setting it to ``True``
  203. will send out emails on registration.
  204. ``OSCAR_FROM_EMAIL``
  205. --------------------
  206. Default: ``oscar@example.com``
  207. The email address used as the sender for all communication events and emails

  215. Offer settings
  216. ==============
  217. ``OSCAR_OFFER_ROUNDING_FUNCTION``

  231. The maximum number of products that can be added to a basket at once.
  232. ``OSCAR_BASKET_COOKIE_OPEN``
  233. ----------------------------
  234. Default: ``'oscar_open_basket'``
  235. The name of the cookie for the open basket.
  236. Currency settings
  237. =================
  238. ``OSCAR_DEFAULT_CURRENCY``
  239. --------------------------
  240. Default: ``GBP``
  241. This should be the symbol of the currency you wish Oscar to use by default.
  242. This will be used by the currency templatetag.
  243. ``OSCAR_CURRENCY_FORMAT``
  244. -------------------------
  245. Default: ``None``
  246. This can be used to customise currency formatting. The value will be passed to

  262. usually desired, but might not be what you want when using a remote storage.
  263. ``OSCAR_PROMOTION_FOLDER``
  264. --------------------------
  265. Default: ``images/promotions/``
  266. The folder within ``MEDIA_ROOT`` used for uploaded promotion images.
  267. .. _missing-image-label:
  268. ``OSCAR_MISSING_IMAGE_URL``
  269. ---------------------------
  270. Default: ``image_not_found.jpg``
  271. Copy this image from ``oscar/static/img`` to your ``MEDIA_ROOT`` folder. It needs to

  282. Default: ``{}``
  283. A dictionary to map strings to more readable versions for including in URL
  284. slugs. This mapping is appled before the slugify function.
  285. This is useful when names contain characters which would normally be
  286. stripped. For instance::
  287. OSCAR_SLUG_MAP = {
  288. 'c++': 'cpp',
  289. 'f#': 'fsharp',
  290. }
  291. ``OSCAR_SLUG_FUNCTION``

  294. The slugify function to use. Note that is used within Oscar's slugify wrapper
  295. (in ``oscar.core.utils``) which applies the custom map and blacklist. String
  296. notation is recommended, but specifying a callable is supported for
  297. backwards-compatibility.
  298. Example::
  299. # in myproject.utils
  300. def some_slugify(value):
  301. return value
  302. # in settings.py
  303. OSCAR_SLUG_FUNCTION = 'myproject.utils.some_slugify'
