It will avoid having an extra "Canceling connection resume task" log
line every time we schedule a timer.

In RN, an uncaught exception causes the app to crash in release builds.
We sidestep that on the native side, but RN SDK users usually don't, so
be gracefull.

The XmppConnection will try to resume the connection
only when the internet is online. This speeds up the process
by avoiding unnecessary connect attempts while offline as each
failed attempt increases the backoff delay.
